Designer (Mid-Sr Level)

As a designer for BLITZ you’ll be involved in original design work, and will help to craft a project from concept to completion. While you’ll still be helping with internal page comping and occasional breakup, you’ll be responsible for original homepage design and will begin to participate more in concepting and mentoring of other members of your department.

What you’ll be doing:

• Working with Creative Leads and Project Managers to develop a wide variety of online, video, and multimedia projects

• Assisting with break-up and optimization of visual assets for final development

• Creating comps based on existing design direction

• Integrating high quality animation for site builds, rollovers, transitions, etc. for both Flash and video

• Contributing well developed ideas during brainstorms and conceptual meetings

• Generating storyboards that outline animation and/or motion graphics

Qualifications:

> Must have mastery skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash.

> Knowledge of Flash, After Effects, and animation technique is recommended.

> Able to present and articulate creative ideas and concepts for internal creative team and business stakeholders.

> Have an outstanding interactive/online portfolio, with 4 years of professional working experience in the interactive space.

> Understands and knows the dynamics of working with information architects and content organization processes.

> Know the importance of knowledge share and mentoring.

> Able to work independently as well as integrate well with a highly dynamic creative group.
