Jr. Web Developer

As a Junior Web Developer you will participate in transforming client goals into compelling, usable, and media-rich Interactive Experiences ranging from Websites, Games, Applications and Widgets, to intelligent User Interfaces for mobile and the console. Our creative concepts, design, motion graphics, video and audio teams will challenge you to plan and build innovative projects for our well known clients, appreciated by millions and often awarded top industry accolades.

Responsibilities will include:

Strategic Work

• Learn to maintain the highest coding standards and best practices by keeping up with the latest Web Development Standards.

• Provide meticulous attention to detail when working with art directors and integrating media assets such as designs, motion graphics, video, and sound.

• Prepare accurate documentation throughout each of your assigned projects.

• Collaborate regularly with stakeholders to ensure projects meet requirements.

• Evaluate technology vendors, contractors, and software products.

Tactical Work

• Write hand coded XHTML and CSS that is thoroughly standards compliant.

• Help Senior team members with PHP, .NET or Flash programming tasks.

• Maintain well organized and clean project files and folders

• Clearly document technical standards and processes.

• Promote teamwork among peers and transfer of development knowledge.

• Flexible with working hours to accommodate interaction with a global customer base.

• Research and document emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year XHTML/CSS programming experience;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision;
• An obsession for high-quality deliveries;
• Passion about improving skills and learning new technologies;
• Portfolio or work examples.

Must be familiar with:

• Some server-side programming technology (PHP, ASP.NET, Java);
• Fundamentals of web development and the underlying technologies.

Helpful but not required:

• Object Oriented Programming techniques;
• Experience with Flash & JavaScript Integration;
• Experience with design patterns;
• Experience or interest in Adobe Flex.
